Nixon awarded second postgraduate scholarship

Senior linebacker Mike Nixon, who completed his eligibility last fall, has been named a recipient of a 2010 NCAA Postgraduate Scholarship.
One of only 29 recipients nationwide, Nixon was awarded $7,500 for postgraduate study at a four-year university or professional school.
This is the second postgraduate scholarship Nixon has been awarded in 2010.
Nixon was a three-time First Team Academic All-Pac-10 and First Team ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District VIII selection.
On the field, Nixon led the Sun Devils in tackles in 2008 and 2009 and led the Pac-10 with five interceptions in 2008. He was a two-time Honorable Mention All-Pac-10 selection.
