Tempe Police reported the following incidents Sunday:
- A 21-year-old Tempe woman was arrested Oct. 16 on the 600 block of East Vista Del Cerro Drive on suspicion of marijuana and drug paraphernalia possession, according to a police report.
Police responded to the woman’s residence after she called and said someone was attempting to break into her house, the report said.
The woman also told the dispatcher she had ingested marijuana and was paranoid, according to police.
Police spoke with the woman, who said there was no one inside the house, and that she was intoxicated with marijuana, police reported.
The officers asked if she had any more marijuana in her possession and she said she did, the report said.
She went inside the house and provided police the marijuana and a pipe with burned residue, police said.
She was taken to Tempe City Jail, booked and released pending charges, according to police.
- A 33-year-old Phoenix woman was arrested Oct. 20 on the 1600 block of North Scottsdale Road on suspicion of dangerous drug and drug paraphernalia possession, according to a police report.
Officers contacted the woman after she was found asleep in the passenger seat of a car, along with a man asleep in the driver’s seat, the report said.
After speaking with the woman, officers reported she admitted to using heroin a few hours beforehand and was sleeping because of it.
The woman allowed officers to search the car and a K-9 unit alerted officer to the presence of drugs, police reported.
The search uncovered three bags containing methamphetamine and various bags containing alprazolam, the report said.
The woman told police the methamphetamine was hers and that she purchased it a few days before. She also told police she had been using the pills, police said.
The woman was transported to Tempe City Jail, where she was booked and released pending charges, the report said.
