Tempe Police reported the following incidents Tuesday:
A 20-year-old Phoenix man, a 23-year-old Phoenix man and a 21-year-old Peoria man were arrested April 26 on the 900 block of East Apache Boulevard on suspicion of threatening and intimidating, disorderly conduct and marijuana and drug paraphernalia possession and use, according to a police report.
The three men arrived at a woman’s birthday party even though party guests did not know them and they were not invited, the report said.
The woman and other guests asked the men to leave but the men argued back, police said.
During the argument, they made comments about blowing up the place and a witness heard one of the men say he had a gun and would shoot it, police reported.
The men left and went to their Nissan Sentra in the parking lot, but one man walked away from the vehicle with a gun, police said.
Partygoers saw the firearm and ran back inside, but as they were doing so, they heard a gunshot and saw the car drive away, the report said.
The responding officers broadcasted descriptions of the men to circulating officers who were able to find the men and their guns in a parking lot on Apache Boulevard, police reported.
When police questioned them, one of the men said he had heard a gunshot near the party, but he did not fire it, police said.
The men were transported and booked into Tempe City Jail, according to the report.
A 28-year-old Tempe man was arrested April 27 on the 1600 block of East Southern Avenue on suspicion of failure to appear and marijuana possession and use, according to a police report.
Police contacted the man because he refused to pay his $62 cab fare and attempted to run away, police said.
The arresting officer detained the man and found a warrant for his arrest during a background check, the report said.
Police found a usable quantity of marijuana in the right breast pocket of the man’s shirt, police reported.
Instead of answering any of the biographical questions the law officer asked, the man told the officer, “Suck my d–k!” police said.
The man was arrested at 4:12 a.m. and was transported to Tempe City Jail, where he was booked and held, according to the report.
