Ingo’s Tasty Food in Arcadia hosted its first pop-up beer garden event on Labor Day with complementary beer tasting, gelato and all-day happy hour prices.
More than a dozen types of craft beer were available for between $3 and $4 until 10 p.m. On top of the tasty food and beers, Grateful Spoon Gelato gave out free scoops of gelato.
The featured beers were mainly from Lagunitas Brewing Company, Black Market Brewing, North Coast Brewing Company and Stone Brewing Co.
With a great variety of food and drinks, Ingo’s attracted a huge crowd of families and friends. Despite the heat, the outdoor dining component gave out a very fun and laid-back atmosphere that was good for gatherings. Adults sipped on beers and chatted, while children indulged themselves in scoop after scoop of gelato.
The main idea of having this pop-up beer garden event was to get more exposure for the restaurant as it is fairly new to the people in town, said LGO Hospitality’s community relations Allison Shashok.
“We want to be a place for family, friends, even co-workers,” Shashok said.
Shashok added that the idea of having a beer garden event was simply fun and with a spacious patio like Ingo’s, there aren’t any reasons why patrons shouldn’t enjoy themselves.
The restaurant has a unique circular layout with no corners. The place was built for efficiency, said partner and chief operating officer Adam Strecker.
When asked about the purpose of this event, Strecker added that the beer garden event was to celebrate summer and to promote the beer garden element, as this is Ingo’s first beer-tasting event.
