The No. 3 ASU men’s golf team shot 9-over par and notched a total score of 1074 to finish sixth out of 14 teams at the Battle at the Beach at Pelican Hill Golf Course in Newport Coast, Calif., on Tuesday.

Junior Jesper Kennegard finished at 5-under par to lead all Sun Devil golfers and finish tied for eighth overall. Junior Scott Pinckney shot 2-under par to finish tied for 11th.

ASU finished behind three other Pac-10 teams, as UCLA won the event while Washington finished tied for second and Oregon State finished fourth.
