Cardinals’ wide receiver Anquan Boldin has recently told the team he is willing to re-sign for the right price.

That price for Boldin is $40 million for four years, which would be almost double his current salary and is, coincidently, the same figure that fellow receiver Larry Fitzgerald signed for last spring.

Boldin is dissatisfied with his current contract, which he signed with the Cards in July 2005 for $22.67 million over four years.

This contract also included $10 million guaranteed and a $5 million signing bonus.

Not too shabby.

Boldin’s immaturity and newly found sense of entitlement does not match his statistics and performance on the field — which is perhaps why Cardinal’s General Manager Rod Graves is having a difficult time complying with Boldin’s demand.

Boldin had 1,402 yards receiving in 2005, 1,203 yards in 2006, 853 yards in 2007 and 1,038 yards last season.

The wide receiver’s numbers have declined since he signed his contract.

And he wants his paycheck doubled?

No one is saying he isn’t a talented receiver and an asset to Arizona, but

Boldin isn’t worth $10 million a year.
