I don’t know why I have such a big problem being positive.
Every time I try to come up with a logical explanation for the ASU men’s basketball team’s making a deep run in the tournament, I am left ripping my bracket into millions of tiny little pieces and then crying in a corner of my house.
It’s pathetic.
Not only do I think they won’t make it past the second round, but I think the Atlantic 10 champion Temple could end up sending the Sun Devils packing before Jeff Pendergraph gets to don the linen outfits he raved about after the Sun Devils found out they would be heading to Miami.
Sorry Jeff, but keep those tags on.
By my calculations, ASU would have to go through Syracuse and Oklahoma to make it to the regional final where North Carolina will be waiting.
And come on fans, the old mantra “we’re just happy to be here” is a loser’s attitude, especially when the team has talent like James Harden, Pendergraph and some great outside shooters to complement them.
Going to the dance — great.
Getting stood up by your date and puking up all the vodka you drank beforehand — not great.
