The ASU women’ golf team finished in second place this weekend at the Betsy Rawls Longhorn Invitational in Texas.

ASU’s accumulative three-day score was 14-over 878, with a breakdown of 287-291-300.

ASU shot a 1-under 287 in the first round and a 3-over 291 in the second, tying them with Purdue for first place.

Four Sun Devil golfers placed in the top ten. Senior Azahara Munoz and freshman Carlota Ciganda tied for fifth place, while senior Jennifer Osborn, who was competing as an individual in the tournament, placed ninth.

Sophomore Jaclyn Sweeney notched a top-10 finish by tying for 10th place. Freshman Giulia Molinaro tied for 23rd place and junior Juliana Murcia finished in 26th.

The ASU women will now begin preparations to host the PING/ASU Invitational on April 3 at the Karsten Golf Course in Tempe.
