Professor of the Department of Biomedical Informatics in the Ira A. Fulton School of Engineering and the principal investigator for the research project Vimla Patel looks over the Radio Identification Tags that are placed in the pocket of doctors to record medical errors. The information is then automatically collected and transmitted back to the laboratory. Patel said the overall goal is to preserve patient safety in critical care situations.
