Let me set up a scenario for all of you.
It’s opening day, the weather is beautiful, and perhaps you have an adult beverage in your hand.
It is a day the diehard baseball fan lives for and one that even the average sports fan can revel in.
That is unless you are attending a Dodgers or Angels game.
Last week the Dodgers season started off with a bang — well, almost.
A fan reportedly had a gun in parking lot four outside Dodger Stadium following the game.
Police soon discovered that the man was unarmed and vandalizing cars instead.
But that was just parking lot four.
Over in parking lot six, one man was stabbed after an argument with another fan.
Across town at the Angels opening-day game the bloodshed continued.
After a 3-0 win over the Athletics, Brian Powers died as a result of a fight in a stairwell near right field at Angel Stadium.
All you used to need to bring to the ballpark was your mitt.
But now you might want to bring a vest, too.
