ASU football coach Dennis Erickson said following Tuesday’s practice that senior quarterback Danny Sullivan is not 100 percent healthy because he is still nursing a biceps and back injury.

Erickson said that sophomore Samson Szakacsy, who took the most repetitions during Tuesday’s practice, will most likely start when the Sun Devils (4-7, 2-6 Pac-10) take on UA in the 2009 season finale.

“Chances are pretty good that that’s how it’s going to end up being,” Erickson said.

Szakacsy made his first careeer start in the Sun Devils’ 23-13 loss o UCLA last weekend. He completed 15 of his 22 passes for 197 yards and two touchdowns but was also responsible for an interception and fumble that were returned for touchdowns.

Erickson also reflected on what he is thankful for following Tuesday’s workout.

“I’m thankful for the opportunity to be at Arizona State and be the football coach,” he said. “I’m thankful for being around the players and having the opportunity. I’m thankful for family and friends.”
