Former ASU soccer player Liz Harkin was selected by the FC Gold Pride in the sixth round of Friday’s 2010 Women’s Professional Soccer Draft.

Harkin was a two-time All-Pac-10 defender during her time at ASU and helped lead the Sun Devils to their first NCAA Tournament berth since 2003 this past season.

Harkin also earned a gold medal as a member of the 2008 U.S. U-20 National Team that competed in the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup in Chile.

FC Gold Pride, which is based in Santa Clara, Calif., begins training camp on March 1.
