Junior quarterback Samson Szakacsy and sophomore pitcher Hillary Bach were named Tillman Scholars for 2010. Bach and Szakacsy are two of 14 ASU students named Tillman Scholars.
The Tillman Scholars – Leadership Through Action Program is administered by the Pat Tillman Foundation and the W.P. Carey School of Business and has a stated purpose of preparing the scholars to develop life long leadership values in the service of others.
Szakacsy started two games for ASU last year while appearing in five and threw for 362 yards and four touchdowns.
Bach won 31 games as a freshman in 2009 as the ace of the Sun Devil staff.
