Tempe Police reported the following incidents Wednesday:

 

  • A 19-year-old Peoria man was arrested Saturday near Apache Boulevard and College Avenue on suspicion of marijuana possession, according to a police report.A Tempe Police officer stopped a green 2000 Ford Mustang because it was swerving between lanes heading west on Apache Boulevard, police reported.

    The officer could smell marijuana from inside the vehicle as he approached and asked the driver and the passenger to exit the car, according to the report.

    During a search of the vehicle, the officer found two small plastic bags containing marijuana, police reported.

    The man was arrested, transported to Tempe City Jail, booked and released pending the drug charge, according to the report.

  • A 52-year-old Tempe man was arrested on March 29 at the 2000 block of East Orange Street on suspicion of first-degree trespassing, according to a police report.A witness across the street of an apartment complex, saw the man remove a screen window from an apartment and enter, police reported.

    The apartment belonged to the man’s ex-girlfriend, according to the report.

    The 11-year-old grandson saw the man enter and leave the apartment through the window, according to the report.

    Tempe Police found the man sitting on a bench at Escalante Park, police reported.

    The man was arrested on June 27, 2009, for assaulting the same woman and was also found trespassing at the apartment on March 25, according to the report.

    The man told police he was not inside or near the apartment that day, police reported.

    The man was arrested, transported to Tempe City Jail for booking and saw a judge, according to the report.
