ASU Police reported the following incidents Monday:
- A 35-year-old Tempe man was arrested Oct. 22 on the 300 block of East Orange Mall on suspicion of criminal trespassing, according to a police report.Police arrived at Hayden Library after receiving a call about a trespasser, police reported.Officers had cited the man 10 days prior for trespassing at Hayden Library and Noble Library, according to the report.At that point, the man, who was intoxicated and belligerent, was banned from both libraries, police reported.
The man told police he did not remember receiving a citation and had been drinking earlier that day, according to the report.
Police cited the man for criminal trespassing and reminded him that he could not return to the ASU Tempe libraries, police reported.
- Two Tempe men were cited Oct. 21 at South Rural Road and East Lemon Street on suspicion of underage drinking, according to a police report.An officer was driving toward Rural Road when he saw a man and woman helping another man walk on the north side of the Barrett, The Honors College Academic Complex, police reported.The man asked to see the students’ driver’s license and determined the two men were underage, according to the report.One of the men could not stand up by himself and had slurred speech, police reported.
He told police he drank three shots, police reported.
Police asked the men to take a Breathalyzer test, according to the report.
One man had a .221 blood alcohol concentration and the other had a .067 blood alcohol concentration, police reported.
The man who could not stand requested assistance from the fire department but then told police he was fine, according to the report.
The woman told police she would look after him for the night, police reported.
The men were both cited and released, according to the report.
