State Press Conversations: The cost of being undocumented at ASU

State Press Conversations reporter, Lorenzo Zazueta, spoke with Daniel Rodriguez, an undocumented resident, ASU law student and immigration activist. Rodriguez put his education on hold after Prop 300 was passed in 2006, which required undocumented students pay out-of-state tuition and made them ineligible for merit based scholarships. President Obama’s newly enacted Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program allows illegal immigrants to apply for a work permit which may allow undocumented students to circumvent the restrictions of Prop 300.
