Reporter, Rosal Lopez, gives Sun Devil Street Wear the dish on Wednesday night's People's Choice Awards.
The People's Choice Awards took place last night on CBS; this is the
awards show that kicks off red carpet season. Like always, a select few
celebrities managed to wow the crowds with their striking and
breathtaking fashion choices; while others managed to turn heads
for the wrong reasons.
For those of you who missed the red
carpet, no worries! The State Press has got you covered with the top five
best and worst dressed celebrities.
Best Dressed
1. Emma Watson

Dressed
in Peter Piloto from the 2013 Spring collection, not only did the
famous Harry Potter star manage to claim an award for favorite dramatic movie actress; but she also managed to make it to number one on my list.
I absolutely love the bold color choice with asymmetrical cuts and
lines. The original dress featured in Piloto's collection is
significantly longer, but cutting was good choice as it lengthened her
lines and drew attention to her gorgeous Tabitha Simmons, strappy
sandals.
2. Taylor Swift

Looks
like breaking up with Harry Styles, inspired Taylor to step it up in
the sexy department. Looking effortlessly classy in Ralph Lauren, Taylor
managed to look innocent yet revealing but not to a point where it
could be considered inapropriate. The long floor length gown makes her
look elegant and graceful, while the up-do with her Sutra turquoise
dangle earrings completely finished off the look.
3. Naomi Watts

Naomi
stunned in a gorgeous gold and black Alexander McQueen Resort 2013
gown. The gorgeous neckline, made the use of accessories minimal and the
gold called for "barely there" makeup. The bodice matches her her
glowing skin tone whilst the bottom half lengthens her lines out. To
finish her look, she opted for side-swept hair with minimal curl.
4. Chloe Grace Moretz

The
"Hugo" teen starlet wore a neon Simone Rocha Spring 2013, flower
embellished, full skirt dress. The combination of the neon yellow with
black Casadei stilettos, gave the ensemble a nice balance. Moretz
finished the look with a half up, half down do.
5. Heidi Klum

The "Project
Runway" host managed to make the top five best dressed list.
Dressed in a Julien McDonald Spring 2013 gown and Louboutin heels, Heidi looked chic and polished. To finish off the look, she opted
for a sleek and straight pony tail. The Grecian style appliques called
for minimal jewelry and "barely there" make up.
Worst Dressed
1. Olivia Munn

The
Magic Mike star clearly did not take into account proportions when
picking out this dress. The cut is unflattering and there is no real
sense of a pattern. This dress looks like a jigsaw puzzle gone wrong,
the unkempt hair did not help either.
2. Paris Hilton

Did
the hotel heiress raid the green lantern's closet? This dress is too
bright and screams look at me! I have seen her wear better things. On a
lighter note, the shoes are a bit more tolerable.
3. Katy Perry

The
"Teenage Dream" singer may have won three awards for her music and
videos, but she also made the worst dressed list. The singer looks
like she walked out of the "Breaking Amish" set and forgot to change for
the red carpet. This look is definitely too old for her.
4. Kristin Kreuk

The flesh colored, muscle resembling, appliques on the bodice makes this
gown look like it belongs on a "Body World" display. The bow on the
shoulder makes Kreuk look like she has a bigger upper body, when i
reality she is normally proportioned. The sparkles of the bottom half
are too much, which is a shame as her hair and make up are flawless.
5. Viviana Vigil

This
is one of those dresses that could be used as a mermaid costume for
"The Little Mermaid" on Broadway if it were longer. The material and
pattern are perfect for the role of Ariel if she were to go back to the
sea. The V-neck cut, makes her upper body appear bigger than it is, by
attracting attention to the wrong area.
