The fashion industry has had a big week to say the least. From New York Fashion Week to the red carpet at the Grammy Awards, designers have been busy showing off their latest collections.

Along with being an awards show the Grammys is also a time for designers to dress musicians to the nines and show off their best couture. Awards shows have become fashion shows within themselves, sometimes with the dresses getting more hype than who actually wins.

On Sunday night we saw a wide variety of styles and looks. From innocent to glamorous, dapper to grungy, each artist seemed to represent their alter-ego.

With Valentines Day on Thursday I thought it would be fun to put together date night outfits inspired by some of my favorite looks from the red carpet. Whether you have a valentine date or not here are some ways you can affordably create red carpet looks yourself!

1. Alexa Chung's floral simplicity

Alexa Chung wore a charming and refreshingly simple Valentino gown. Her look was classy, feminine, and completely adorable. No accessories needed with the dress, her look reminded me of something out of the 1950s. With popping red lips and low heeled shoes, she had the perfect contrast of sexiness and innocence. To get Alex Chung's look Check out this Free People dress and these Nasty Gal pumps.

2. Rihanna's rouge glamour

Rihanna broke away from her usual street style look to wear a stunning red Alaïa dress. With mesh in the midriff and vibrant red lips to match, Rihanna proved she could be the most glamorous at the ball. For this look check out this Nordstrom red mesh dress and pair it with Nars matte jungle red lipstick.

3. Taylor Swift’s Grecian goddess

Swift wore a white flowy J. Mendel gown. The dress reminded me of a Grecian goddess with the low cut and sweeping feel. She wore her hair up in a milkmaid-style braid to show off the back. For a Swift-inspired look check out this white Topshop mesh wrap dress, and be your own Grecian goddess.

4. Fun.’s dapper looks

Don’t worry boys I didn’t forget about you this time! Tempe's own band Fun. showed up looking dapper as ever. They each wore different colored suits, and two of them were all about the skinny tie. To get this look visit Topman online or inside Nordstrom's at Chandler Fashion Center.
