ASU will be hitting the road once again this weekend, playing Washington and Washington State, after having the luxury of being able to play their first three Pac–12 conference games at home.

The Sun Devils (8-1-3, 1-0-2 Pac-12) recorded their first conference win against Oregon State.

Junior forward Cali Farquharson scored the game winning goal against the Ducks, her 10th of the season, once again getting into double digits. Farquharson managed to score 10 goals in both her freshman and sophomore years, bringing her total goal count to 30.

“I don’t expect anything less,” Farquharson said. “I have high expectations of myself. That's one of my main goals, to consistently get double digits each year.”

The Sun Devils’ first stop will be in Seattle, where they play the Washington Huskies. Washington (8-4,1-2 Pac-12) notched their first win of conference play in their last game, 2-1 over California.

Senior forward Jaclyn Softli and freshman forward Kimberly Keever are the Huskies two main offensive threats, Softli with seven goals on the season, and Keever with five. Another goal scorer for this team is fifth year senior midfielder Kate Bennett, who has managed to score four times thus far this season.

ASU will then travel to neighboring Pullman, where it plays No. 21 ranked Washington State. The Cougars (7-1-2, 2-1 Pac-12) look to bounce back from a tough 1-0 loss against No. 3 Stanford after allowing a goal in the 83rd minute of regulation.

Both ASU and Washington State have played multiple games that have come down to the wire.

Five of the Cougars' games this season have been decided by a single goal, and played both BYU and Pepperdine in games that ended scoreless after two overtimes.

In Spokane, Washington on Sept. 12, WSU edged Gonzaga 2-1 in an overtime thriller when sophomore defender Kailiana Johnson found the back of the net.

Although the Cougars do not have the most potent of offenses, with their top goal scorers in Johnson and redshirt junior forward Beau Bremer only having three goals apiece, they do have a lockdown defense that keeps them in close games.

Of the 10 games the Cougars have played this season, seven have been shutout games, which is good enough for eighth in the entire NCAA. It will be a battle between one of the most powerful offenses in the NCAA and one of the strongest defenses.

The Sun Devils play Washington at 7 p.m. on Oct. 10 in Seattle.
