“Actually I am the secretary of the student alumni association and I’m super involved. Football’s like our thing. We just finished our float so from about 4-8 I go and help out with the party on old main. We have former ASU players for the NFL come and do autographs, so I’ll be working that booth. It’s a lot of fun."

“I like when we win. I just like when everyone’s hyped and when everyone’s loud.”

“I was on the color guard team in 2012 so it was the best experience ever. But the tradition is to go all out and hang out with friends and getting all in the spirit because I think that’s what football is all about. Other than that, it’s about having a good time. "

“The fight song. I know all the words, just don’t quiz me. Going to the game with a lot of friends and having fun.”

“For football games we usually go out to breakfast and then come and get our wristbands because it’s so early in the morning.”

“Well, several hours before the game I do my pregame ritual. I sit in a circle of Sun Devil gear and sing kumbaya to myself. Then I like to do pushups while staring at a poster of Sparky. Because I believe that Sparky’s power comes to all of us when we do this ritual. Then I like to afterwards go down to my tailgate and do the ritual with others. We all get together in a nice little circle and sing kumbayas about how strong we are as a sun devil community, and about the destruction that will soon take place to the opposing side.

But pretty much I like to go to my fraternity’s tailgate and meet with everybody’s parents, some of the alumni and talk about all the new starters that are going up and then go to the game and have a good old time.”

“The parade every year for homecoming. I’m in a sorority so we always do the parade and all of the other fun stuff like going to the block party and just hang out."

“Just hanging out with friends. Watching old games, the previous year’s games. I don’t know, it just makes us feel ready and get us hyped for the games.”
