Tempe Police: Woman wanders around parking lot, has meth in pocket

​A 25-year-old Mesa woman was found in possession of methamphetamine while wandering in a dark parking lot.

Tempe Police reported the following incidents Wednesday:

A 25-year-old Mesa woman was arrested April 2 at South River Drive and East Apache Boulevard on suspicion of drug paraphernalia possession and having an outstanding warrant, according to the police report.

Officers found the woman walking in a dark parking lot surrounded by no trespassing signs, police reported. They learned the woman had an outstanding warrant in the city of Mesa, according to the report.

Police searched the woman and found a used needle and a vile containing meth and water, police reported. The woman admitted to using the needle to inject herself with methamphetamine, according to the report.

The woman was transported to Tempe City Jail, where she was booked and held to see a judge, according to the report. 


A 47-year-old Tempe man was arrested April 1 at the 2100 block of East Apache Boulevard on suspicion of marijuana and drug paraphernalia possession, according to the police report.

Officers stopped the man during a subject stop and conducted a search of his person, police said. They found a baggy containing a useable amount of marijuana in his front pocket, according to the report.

The man was transported to Tempe City Jail, where he was booked and held to see a judge, according to the police report.
