ASU junior Jon Rahm has been named one of three finalists for the Ben Hogan Award, given to the nation's top collegiate golfer.

The winner, which will be announced May 18, will come from the Pac-12, as all three finalists are all from the conference.

Stanford sophomore Maverick McNealy is probably considered the favorite to win the award. He won Pac-12 Player of the Year honors this season and dominated the Pac-12 Championship in Pullman, Washington, winning it by 10 strokes. Rahm and Washington senior Cheng-Tsung Pan finished tied for sixth at Pac-12s, which was 18 strokes behind McNealy.

McNealy, the No. 1-ranked overall player according to Golfweek, has five tournament wins this season, most in the country. Rahm is the No. 2-ranked player, while Pan sits at No. 5.

Rahm finished in a tie for fifth at the Phoenix Open, and has three tournament wins this season, including his crown at the ASU Thunderbird Invitational. His 68.79 stroke average is on pace to break Phil Mickelson's single-season ASU record.

Pan has had a decorated collegiate career as well, setting the Washington single-season stroke average mark last season and has seven career victories.

As for the teams, ASU earned the No. 1 seed at the San Diego regional, which begins May 14. Washington is the No. 2 seed at its home regional, while Stanford travels to Chapel Hill, where it also earned a No. 2 seed.
