ASU football continued its recent strong stretch on the recruiting trail Saturday, landing a commitment from 2016 prospect Robbie Robinson.
The Sun Devils have now entered double-digits in their 2016 recruiting class, as Robinson became their 10th commitment in a formal announcement.
The decision came following his visit to ASU campus Friday.
Robinson, who is listed as an athlete by some recruiting sites, is being recruited to ASU as a defensive back. He is ranked as a three-star prospect according to 247 Sports and Scout.com, and a four-star prospect by Rivals.com and ESPN.com.
According to 247 Sports, the decision ultimately came between ASU and Virginia.
According to multiple recruiting services, he held offers from (in alphabetical order) Akron, ASU, Clemson, Duke, Georgia Tech, Hawaii, Indiana, Maryland, Michigan State, Ohio State, Old Dominion, Penn State, Southern Miss, Stanford, Temple, Vanderbilt, Virginia, Virginia Tech, Wake Forest, West Virginia and Wisconsin.
The 5-foot-9, 175-pound defensive back from Dematha High School in Hyattsville, Mary., has his junior season highlights here.
Other commits to the class of 2016 are athlete/wide receiver Jeremy Smith, defensive back J'Marcus Rhodes, defensive back DJ Morgan, defensive end Christian Hill, running back Tre Turner, running back Freddie Holly, tight end Darel Middleton, tight end Jared Bubak, offensive lineman Marshal Nathe and offensive lineman Cohl Cabral.
