With ASU football's game against San Diego State right around the corner, the Sun Devils (1-0) took to the Kajikawa Practice Fields on Wednesday morning.
The quarterbacks played well in the short media viewing period. Redshirt junior quarterback Manny Wilkins was sharp, completing various passes across the middle to wide receivers John Humphrey and N'Keal Harry in team drills.
Redshirt sophomore Blake Barnett also looked sharp, throwing a mid-range floater to redshirt sophomore wide receiver Terrell Chatman, who came up with a nice grab.
Senior running back Demario Richard was out on the practice field, but was not seen participating in drills.
ASU also worked on tackling drills, with an emphasis on wrapping up the ball carrier. That will be an important task in Saturday's game against SDSU, since the Aztecs have an excellent running back in Rashaad Penny, who could be tough to contain.
Scouts from the Arizona Cardinals, Kansas City Chiefs, Baltimore Ravens and Chicago Bears were also at practice.
