Video: ASU sports club teams receive new rules

After an aggravated assault incident, sports clubs face policy changes

ASU sports clubs are now under new rules due to an incident that occurred on Feb. 25, 2017 when an ASU rugby player allegedly assaulted a UA player during a game. ASU rugby and other sports clubs must now follow new policies in regard to who is allowed to play and how the teams are structured. Tara Yesenski, the assistant director for sports programs, discussed the new rules and the sanctions ASU rugby faced.
