ASU volleyball upset No. 12 Oregon 3-0 on Sunday

The Sun Devils took home their third consecutive conference win on the road

ASU volleyball took down No. 12 Oregon with a 3-0 sweep in Eugene on Sunday.

This is the Sun Devils' second sweep of the weekend after Friday night's match against Oregon State, and it is the first time ASU volleyball has swept the Ducks since 2005. 

ASU played with a .224 hitting percentage, and kept the Ducks at a hitting percentage of .189. With 16 kills and 12 digs for the match, junior outside hitter Ivana Jeremic secured her ninth double-double of the season. 

Accompanying Jeremic, junior setter Callie Jones got her second double-double of the weekend with 22 assists and 12 digs. 

Jeremic played a key role in set one as she secured six kills. The Sun Devils took the set 25-23. Senior outside hitter Alyse Ford also helped the Sun Devils take the second set 25-22 when she got three kills on ASU's last five points.

The Ducks led the majority of the third set until ASU tied the set at 19. ASU proceeded to take the set 25-22, securing the big upset win for the program.

Today's victory puts ASU at 12-4 on the overall season, and 3-1 in conference play. 

ASU volleyball heads back to Tempe to take on both Washington State on Friday, Oct. 5, and Washington on Sunday Oct. 7 next weekend.
