‘Birther’ bill caters to conspiracy, wastes money
The Arizona House passed a bill that would require presidential candidates to submit a birth certificate for the 2012 election. People who believe President Barack Obama was not born in the U.S. can count this is a victory, but the rest of us can count it as a waste of time and money.
Day of Prayer unconstitutional, may be abolished
Last week the National Day of Prayer was ruled unconstitutional by a federal judge. The judge made the right decision and hopefully May 6, 2010 will be the last government sponsored National Day of Prayer.
Shaming binge drinking will not solve problem
PSAs link binge drinking with feelings of shame and guilt. A recent study showed that these PSAs may have the effect of leading college students to binge drink more. We need to find a better way to solve the problem of binge drinking among college students.
