Alden Darby wears pink in memory of his aunt

Arizona State sophomore cornerback Alden Darby wore pink gloves in memory of his aunt who died of breast cancer against Oregon State and had the best game of his career. Darby plans to continue wearing pink throughout October for breast cancer awareness month.

Cornerback Omar Bolden taking it day-to-day

Arizona State head coach Dennis Erickson noted Monday only Bolden will know when he's ready to return, but Erickson thinks Bolden has a chance to come back after the Oct. 22 bye week. Bolden on the flip side does not have a timetable set for his return and is taking it day-to-day.

Service dogs at ASU help injured officers, vets

Two ASU students are training dogs under the Foundation for Service Dog Support. These dogs aid injured police officers, firefighters and military men and women with everyday tasks. Change is hard, but man's best friend helps with the transition. Inspired by the foundation, these students started Campus K9s to raise money and awareness for service dogs. Arizona State recently added sports dietician Beth Gevirtz to the Sun Devils sports medicine staff. Gevirtz has been around Carson Student-Athlete Center for only three weeks, but she's already making a few friends including senior linebacker Brandon Magee.
