The ASU men’s basketball team drew more than 1,200 students in its season-opening rout of University of Maryland Baltimore County at Wells Fargo Arena, according to a tweet sent out by the 942 Crew, a student group that aims to bring at least 942 students to every ASU men’s basketball home game.

The ASU volleyball team is playing like a brand new team in the second half of Pac-12 conference play.
Unable to replicate its previous shooting success, the ASU women’s basketball team (1-1) dropped its first match of the season Wednesday night, falling to San Diego (2-0) 53-61 at the Jenny Craig Pavilion in San Diego.

The ASU women’s basketball season opener could not have gone much better.
Using junior setter Shannan McCready again, the ASU volleyball team dropped its match 26-24, 22-25, 15-25, 17-25, to No. 3 Washington (20-1, 12-1 Pac-12) Saturday afternoon despite putting together a solid first two sets.
Simply put, the ASU women’s basketball team struggled last year without now-redshirt senior guard Deja Mann.
