USG vice president to withdraw from ASU

The Undergraduate Student Government Vice President of Services is withdrawing from ASU and leaving his position within the next few days.

Alex Pasco, a journalism senior, said he needs to take time off to deal with personal issues. He will return to ASU in the spring, but will not be involved in USG.

"I need a couple of months to figure out what makes me happy," he said.

Pasco said he is waiting for his academic adviser to complete his withdrawal. Once that takes place he will no longer be vice president.

Interviews will be conducted to fill the yearlong position, he said. Chris Gustafson, a political science junior, will remain vice president of policy.

Pasco said he continues to support everything USG stands for.

"USG is doing everything that they should be doing," he said. "I have complete trust in (President) Liz (Simonhoff) and Chris. They will do what's right for the University."
