Christiane Amanpour wins 2011 Walter Cronkite Award

Christiane Amanpour was the 2011 recipient of the Walter Cronkite Award for Excellence in Journalism. She accepted the award at the 28th annual award luncheon in front of more than 1,100 students and media professionals. Prior to the award ceremony, Amanpour spoke to students in the Cronkite School’s First Amendment Forum where she shared experiences from her career as an international journalist for CNN and ABC. Samuel Bruke, a Cronkite alumnus who anchors and produces at CNN en Español and is a digital producer at CNN International, hosted the morning conversation. (Videography by Vivian Padilla)
