SP Investigates: A look into the life of DACA student Oscar Hernandez

Oscar Hernandez, public policy junior, is one of almost 200 Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals recipients at ASU, and one of 51,713 in the state of Arizona as of September 2016.

He and his parents crossed the Nogales boarder into Arizona when he was 9 years old, and now the DACA program, brought about by a 2012 executive order by President Barack Obama, which makes recipients eligible for in-state tuition.

President Donald Trump vowed to repeal every "unconstitutional" executive order passed by Obama within his first 100 days in office, leaving DACA students to fight to stay in the United States.
