The Arizona Center for Medieval and Renaissance Studies hosted a Middle Ages and Renaissance booth at ASU's Night of the Open Door. Students, faculty, and the community came out and participated in this event to learn more about the history of the Middle Ages and Renaissance period.

Army officer Michelle Bravo created her startup clothing company "i Rock the Boots," supported by ASU's Edson Student Entrepreneur Initiative. Bravo is the executive officer for ASU’s Army ROTC program and said she wanted to give back to veterans and women. The T-shirts she and her team produce represent the strength yet femininity of women in the military.

The Mary Lou Fulton Teachers College offers a play-based preschool staffed by a teaching team at the Tempe campus. The Infant Child Research Program holds playgroups for toddlers from the ages of 18-36 months. The program also offers speech and language evaluations, individual speech and language treatment, as well as home-based early intervention.

On March 1st, ASU students, Arizona Forward and school communities of Brophy College Preparatory, Central High School, St. Francis Xavier and Xavier College Preparatory, showcased student art-themed projects for their vision for canal enhancements themed around shade, water, bridges and connectivity.

ASU students do the Two Dollar Challenge from April 10th-12th. The challenge raises awareness and funds for global poverty. Students only have two dollars to spend on food within the whole challenge. All proceeds go to Esperança, a nonprofit organization which helps poor communities of the world live a more sustainable lifestyle.

ASU's College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, Ira A. Fulton Schools of Engineering and the Biodesign Institute collaborated to have the 2nd annual Night of the Open Door. On March 2nd ASU students, faculty, and the community came together for this event which engages with the creative invention that is ASU’s work of science, engineering, art and the humanities.

ASU students and faculty celebrate the Chinese New Year with a festival on February 15th. They talk about the meaning behind the new year celebration as well as the different activities such as calligraphy, a photo contest, and performances that represent the Chinese culture. They also talk about how the festival, sponsored by the School of International Letters and Cultures and the Confucius Institute, brings diversity to ASU.
