Contrary to last week’s editorial, the 2013-14 year was one of ASU’s better overall athletic seasons.
In the past three seasons, the Falcons earned the NFC No. 1 overall seed twice. In 2013, the Falcons have gone from first in the conference to worst in the conference with a 2-8 record.
It’s kind of hard to win when your best scorers can’t score.

Needing a win to secure an NCAA tournament berth, the ASU soccer team did the exact opposite, unraveling in a 2-0 loss to rival UA.
This would have been a great year for a four-team playoff.
