Every month, Dairy Queen introduces a special Blizzard of the Month. Caramel Waffle Cone, Brownie Batter, or Pumpkin Pie–you name it and I’ll be driving to DQ to try it.

This month I was expecting to hear that the special Blizzard would be a Girl Scout Cookie flavor, like maybe Tagalong or Samoa, but instead Dairy Queen is serving up a Mint Oreo Blizzard (ironically similar to a Thin Mint).

To satisfy my craving for a Girl Scout ice cream dessert and to make up for my disappointment I realized that I could make my own shake with my favorite cookies!

Create your own Girl Scout Cookie Shake by incorporating your favorite cookie flavor into ice cream and serve with whipped cream.

For tips on which cookies shake up best, check out this blog post from cakespy.com.

Ingredients 4 scoops of vanilla ice cream ¼ cup of milk 6 or so crushed Girl Scout Cookies

Directions Combine all ingredients in the blender. Blend for about 30 seconds. Pour into a glass. Garnish with whipped cream and cookie crumbs (optional). Enjoy!
