Only a year removed from the ASU wrestling team, Anthony Robles still wants to be present in the Sun Devil community.
Robles is returning to ASU on Oct. 9 and is holding a book signing at the Memorial Union on the Tempe campus for his first autobiography, “UNSTOPPABLE — From Underdog to Undefeated: How I Became a Champion.”
Another signing is scheduled in the Valley on Oct. 6 at Barnes & Noble in downtown Phoenix.
The book, in which Robles describes his lifelong journey to becoming a national champion despite having one leg, will be released on Sept. 27.
Robles is also holding a race, “Run With Robles” on Nov. 3 with funds benefiting the ASU wrestling team. The run is scheduled to start and finish at Tempe Marketplace.
Born without a right leg, Robles gained national attention for winning the 2011 NCAA Championship at 125 pounds and was selected to the National Wrestling Hall of Fame last June.
The three-time All-American served as a volunteer wrestling coach for the Sun Devils last season in addition to his motivational speaking tour.
