Man dined and dashed after eating a meal at Chili’s

ASU Police reported the following incidents Tuesday:

Police are investigating a theft on Nov. 14 on the 800 block of South Mill Avenue, according to a police report.

A man entered Chili’s, ate a meal and left without paying for it, police reported.

The bar manager called police after seeing the man “calmly” leave the restaurant and walk eastbound on University Drive, according to the report.

Police described him as a 30- to 40-year-old man approximately 5 feet 10 inches tall and 170 pounds with shaved hair, police reported.

He was seen wearing cargo shorts, a yellow T-shirt and a green zip-up hoodie jacket, according to the report.

His meal cost approximately $40, police reported.

A 22-year-old Tempe man was arrested Nov. 12 on the 700 block of East Apache Boulevard on suspicion of criminal trespassing, according to a police report.

A community assistant at Vista Del Sol called police after recognizing the man as he attempted to trespass, police reported.

The man ran from police and officers could not find the man for about 20 minutes, according to the report.

A police aide saw the man running northbound on the main Vista Del Sol walkway, police reported.

They arrested the man and identified him as the main suspect in several ASU burglaries and theft cases, according to the report.

Police brought the man to the 4th Avenue Jail where he was cited, police reported.
