Being best friends as teenagers, they often dreamed of having their very own vintage boutique someday.
When they saw the local antique shop Hollywood Regency closing down, their hearts were temporarily broken and opportunity filled their eyes. With very little money and a lot of determination the two young girls decided to take over the shop and fulfill their teenage dreams. Sixteen days later their very own vintage store was a reality.
Inside Antique Sugar you will find a collection of mens and womens vintage pieces dating from the 1920s to the 1980s. According to Antique Sugar they are well suited for vintage diehards, environmentally conscious fashionistas, and the occasional costume party attendee.

The surprised young business owners came in to find broken glass doors and 20 or more vintage leather coats missing. The unexpected event has lead to $800 in damages and $2,000 worth of merchandise missing; not fun for any young business owner, especially around the holidays.
Annamarie wants the local community to understand the importance in supporting small and local business. She also believes when something like this happens it is important to turn the negative into a positive. They are doing this by encouraging the local community to come in and shop local by making everything in their store 20 percent off everyday this week.
They will also be holding an event on Thursday Dec. 20 from 6 p.m.-10 p.m. called “Its a wonderful clothing store benefit.” This event will feature the local bands Field Tripp, Palms, Sun Ghost and Doctor Bones followed by an open mic.
