After living on the Tempe campus for almost three years, I have noticed more style ingenuity walking around campus than in the numerous fashion magazines stacked on the shelf in my dorm room. Having an anthropology background, I felt obligated to seek out the importance of this ASU fashion culture. After some thinking, I concluded the reason was because of the cultural diversity that exists on campus. Students from all over the world call ASU their home, and by doing so, they introduce new culture to Sun Devil Country. Diversity is even written into the vision of ASU's New American University. The University can be considered a culture magnet, and more importantly, a fashion culture magnet. Fashion acts as a wearable canvas that expresses our own culture and individuality, thus making ASU a giant walking canvas.
Sun Devil Street Wear will strive to illuminate the vivid and colorful fashion creativity of ASU students. So without further ado, here are some Sun Devils who journeyed back to campus for spring semester in their best winter wear.
