Tempe Police reported the following incidents Monday:

A 26-year-old Alaska woman was arrested Jan. 1 on the 600 block of South Mill Avenue on suspicion of assault, aggravated assault and disorderly conduct, according to a police report.

She was arrested at Fat Tuesday after punching another patron in the face with a closed right fist, police reported.

While in the police transport van, the woman began arguing with another arrestee who was restrained in handcuffs, according to the report.

The woman was able to slip her hands out of her own handcuffs, and she slammed the other person's head against the side of transport, police reported.

Once at the Tempe City Jail, the woman was booked and held to see a judge.

A 24-year-old Arizona man was arrested Wednesday at East Laguna Drive and South Country Club Way on suspicion of marijuana and drug paraphernalia possession, according to a police report.

Officers contacted the man after they received a call from someone who had seen him sleeping in his parked Toyota RAV4 for the past couple of days, according to the report.

An officer found the man sleeping in the car's front seat and woke him up by tapping on the driver's side window, police reported.

The officer could smell marijuana when he opened the door, according to the report.

He found a clear plastic prescription-style bottle containing a usable quantity of a green leafy substance on the front passenger seat and many pieces of foil with burnt residue and small plastic baggies in the center console, police reported.

The officer also discovered two plastic bottles with holes burned through the caps in the vehicle, according to the report.

The man said he had been smoking marijuana on and off since he was 14 and had an eighth of an ounce of the drug, worth $60, with him, police reported.

He said he smokes marijuana a few times a week through shift pipes he made from the plastic bottles and that the eighth would last a week or two, according to the report.

He was transported to Tempe City Jail, where he was booked and released pending charges, police reported.

A 23-year-old Phoenix man was arrested Jan. 1 on the 400 block of South Mill Avenue on suspicion of marijuana possession, public consumption and having an outstanding warrant, according to a police report.

Officers saw the man consuming a 24-ounce can of Miller Lite from a brown bag, police reported.

He told them he was drinking "tall cans," and the brown liquid inside it smelled of alcohol and was cold to the touch, according to the report.

A pre-arrest search revealed two rolled marijuana cigarettes in the man's front sweater pockets, police reported. The man told officers he had found the cigarettes on the ground and picked them up, according to the report.

A check revealed that he had an outstanding warrant from the Mesa City Court, police reported.

The man was transported to Tempe City Jail, where he was released pending charges.
