Man swims at Mona Plummer Center after hours


ASU Police reported the following incidents Tuesday:

A 19-year-old man was arrested late Friday night on the 600 block of South College Avenue on suspicion of trespassing, according to a police report.

University Communications contacted police regarding two people swimming at the Mona Plummer Aquatic Center pool after hours, police reported.

Two officers arrived at the location; one walked around the outside of the complex while the other investigated the inside and saw wet footprints going from the pool to the exit, according to the report.

The officer outside the complex found the man and his friend in wet clothing, police reported.

The man told police he and his friend decided to jump in the pool and play on the diving board before walking to Palo Verde Main, according to the report.

The man was arrested, cited and released, police reported.

 

A 19-year-old man, an 18-year-old woman, a 19-year-old woman and a 20-year-old woman were arrested Thursday on the 4800 block of West Verde Mall on suspicion of consuming alcohol under the legal age, according to a police report.

A community assistant at the Casa de Oro Residence Hall notified police about an alcohol violation inside the building, police reported.

The CA heard bottles clinging from the room and spoke with the man, who smelled of alcohol, before calling police, according to the report.

When the CA escorted the officer to the room, the man opened the door, and three women, visiting from California, were sitting on a bed, police reported.

The officer saw numerous red plastic cups on a table, observed that the man had bloodshot, watery eyes and smelled alcohol on his breath, according to the report.

The man said there was no alcohol in the room and told the officer he could not conduct a search, police reported.

After the officer told the man he and the three women smelled like alcohol, the man handed over a bottle of grape Frïs Vodka, of which the man said he had consumed about half, according to the report.

The man and the three women were arrested, cited and released, police reported.

While the officer wrote out the citations, the man ran to the bathroom to vomit, according to the report.
