Disney's The Lion King had its opening night October 22 and will be featured at ASU's Gammage Theater until November 17. The musical is based on the 1994 Disney animated film and debuted in July of 1997. The Tony Award winning show, directed by Julie Taymor, features dazzling costumes such as the beautiful grass skirts, music played on authentic African instruments, African animals like the tall giraffes and big elephants walking down the aisles.
