Tempe Police: Woman caught with marijuana, drug paraphernalia


Tempe Police reported the following incidents Tuesday:

  • A 19-year-old Tempe woman was arrested Jan. 28 on the corner of East Driftwood Drive and South Compass Road on suspicion of marijuana and drug paraphernalia possession, according to a police report.Police contacted the woman just north of the intersection, police said.

    After an investigative search, police found marijuana and drug paraphernalia on the woman, the report said.

    The woman was transported to Tempe City Jail, where she was booked and released pending charges, according to the report.

    A 26-year-old San Tan Valley man was arrested Feb. 1 on the northwest corner of West Third Street and Mill Avenue on suspicion of marijuana and drug paraphernalia possession, according to a police report.

    Police contacted the man while he was sitting in a parked vehicle, police said.

    The man was found to be in possession of a useable amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, the report said.

    He did not have a medical marijuana card, police said.

    The man was transported to Tempe City Jail and processed pending charges.
