Tempe Police reported the following incidents Wednesday:
- A 40-year-old Phoenix man was arrested on Jan. 11 on the 500 block of West Broadway Road on suspicion of having an outstanding warrant, obstructing a public highway, dangerous drug possession and drug paraphernalia possession, according to a police report.
The man was originally stopped by officers for crossing the street 30 feet away from a cross walk, which made cars slow down or swerve to avoid hitting him, police reported.
Officers found out the man had an outstanding warrant, and placed him under arrest, according to the report.
Officers searched the man and found a meth pipe and meth in his pocket, police reported.
The man was transported to Tempe City Jail, where officers preformed a strip search, according to the report. During the search, officers found a bag of meth in the man's buttocks, police reported.
The man was booked and held to see a judge, according to the report.
- A 43-year-old Phoenix man was arrested Jan. 9 on the 1300 block of West Southern Avenue on suspicion of theft, according to a police report.
Between Oct. 25 and Oct. 27, 2014, a manager of a business failed to deposit money from the store into the bank, as he was supposed to, police reported.
Video surveillance shows the man counting the money, but records show the money was never deposited, according to the report.
The man told officers that he took three deposits that totaled $6,145 and spent the money himself, police reported.
The man was booked into Tempe City Jail, where he was released, according to the report.
