Tempe Police reported the following incidents Wednesday:

A 24-year-old Phoenix man was arrested on the 600 block of South Mill Avenue on suspicion of aggravated assault and disorderly conduct, according to a police report.

The man and a friend were at a Tempe bar when the man told the friend that he was carrying a knife, police reported. The man showed his friend the knife and was handling it recklessly in the crowded bar, according to the report.

The man then accidentally stabbed his friend in his side and left an inch-deep cut, police reported. Patrons and staff at the bar were able to take the knife from the man and called officers to the scene, according to the report.

The man was transported to Tempe City Jail, where he was booked and held to see a judge, according to the report.

A Mesa man was arrested on April 15 at South Perry Lane and University Drive on suspicion of assault and seven counts of felony endangerment, according to a police report.

The man was driving fast through a red light and hit the back of the car in front of him, causing five vehicles to collide, police reported.

The first driver the man hit was admitted to a hospital in serious condition, police reported. After officers were called to the scene, the driver admitted to racing another vehicle, according to the report.

The man was transported to Tempe City Jail, where he was booked and held to see a judge, according to the report.
