ASU football landed a commitment from Saint John Bosco High School (Bellflower, Calif.) defensive back DJ Morgan Wednesday afternoon.

Morgan, a three-star prospect on Scout and 24/7 and a four-star prospect on Rivals, made the announcement alongside teammates and fellow ASU targets in defensive back Traveon Beck and running back Sean McGrew.

Beck, a three-star cornerback, committed to Cal. McGrew, a four-star prospect, committed to Washington.

Morgan stands 6-foot-3 and 200 pounds, and selected ASU over his other finalist, Cal. Morgan also held reported offers from Colorado, Nebraska, Utah and Vanderbilt, according to Scout.

According to Rivals, Morgan is being recruited as a boundary safety for the Sun Devils. Morgan collected 112 tackles during his junior season, along with two fumble recoveries and an interception.

Morgan is ASU's first defensive commit for the class of 2016, and its fourth for the class overall.

ASU also holds reported commitments from offensive linemen Cohl Cabral and Marshal Nathe, along with running back Freddie Holly.
