Pac-12 releases 2016 football schedule

ASU begins the season at home against NAU and will end on Nov. 25 at Arizona.

The Pac-12 announced the 2016 football schedule on Tuesday evening. ASU's season will begin at home on Sept. 3 against the NAU Lumberjacks.

Below is the full schedule for 2016. Specific times have yet to be announced.

Sept. 3 vs. NAU
Sept. 10 vs. Texas Tech
Sept. 17 at UT San Antonio
Sept. 24 vs. Cal
Oct. 1 at USC
Oct. 8 vs. UCLA
Oct. 15 at Colorado
Oct. 22 vs. Washington State
Oct. 29 at Oregon
Nov. 10 vs. Utah
Nov. 19 at Washington
Nov. 25 at Arizona

The Sun Devils will play two teams that were ranked by AP at the end of the 2015 season: Oregon (15) and Utah (20). ASU's bye week comes in the middle of the two games.

Only four of ASU's 12 opponents in 2016 had a record at or below .500 the 2015 season: UTSA, Colorado, Washington and Arizona.

For the third year in a row, ASU will begin October in Los Angeles. It comes in the middle of three consecutive games against California schools before traveling to Colorado on Oct. 15.

The 2015 Pac-12 champion Stanford was omitted from ASU's schedule, along with Oregon State.

ASU's season will end with the Territorial Cup, which will come the day after Thanksgiving.
