Taco Bell at the Memorial Union has become a one-stop-shop for students looking for somewhere to eat Mexican food on the go.

However, the MU's popular fast food joint is set to close on April 22.

The closure is happening in the wake of the upcoming remodel of Pitchforks, the dining hall located in the MU. Both Pitchforks and Taco Bell will be closing on April 22. Pitchforks will be opening back up and expanding, but Taco Bell's closure will be permanent.

Kellie Cloud, the executive director of the MU, said there aren't any plans to replace the popular dining facility.

"(We are) constantly evaluating the needs of the student body and portfolio of dining options the campus has," Cloud said. "At this time, there is no plan to add another food venue inside the Memorial Union."
