A friend of Andrew Tucker, the ASU broadcasting sophomore who died in a dorm room in January, plead guilty last week to administering a lethal dose of drugs to him, according to the Maricopa County Attorney's Office.
Jessika Osborne, 19, told Tempe police in July that she had cooked and injected a combination of heroin and cocaine into Tucker the night of Jan. 18.
Tucker's death was first ruled a homicide in April by the Maricopa County Board of Medical Examiners.
Nineteen-year-old Tucker was last seen alive on the morning of Jan. 19 in his Best Hall residence hall.
Tucker's friends decided to contact police after not seeing him for several days. Police found him dead on Jan. 21.
Osborne lives in Gilbert and is not affiliated with ASU, police said.
Sentencing for Osborne is scheduled for Oct. 11; she can receive anything from probation up to 8 years 9 months in jail.
In addition, Osborne will have to complete 120 hours of community service, pay up to $10,000 in restitution to Tucker's family and a fine of $1,000 if convicted.
If sentenced with probation, she would serve an initial jail term of up to one year.
