Devil Dish: Wild night shouldn't cost coach his job

Larry Eustachy, Iowa State's basketball coach, is in the hot seat after he admitted to partying with college students after his team lost at Missouri and Kansas State.

Eustachy said alcohol contributed to his behavior, which included kissing co-eds and being kissed on the cheek. Eustachy was photographed at a Columbia, Mo., apartment during the early-morning hours Jan. 22. The photos appeared in The Des Moines Register on Monday.

While his actions and decisions are indiscretions that cannot be condoned, Eustachy's job should not be at stake over this.

He'll have to work hard to overcome this, and to build back the trust of his players, fans and the university, but he should be allowed such an opportunity.

Do you think the coach will be able to move on from this occurrence? Post your opinion in the forum below.
